Hey everybody, welcome to the single tracks podcast. Today it's Aaron. I'm here with Jeff and we also

have two special guests. We have Kinzer Hewitt and Donald Hofer. So these guys just recently

completed the trans North Georgia bike packing route. So we wanted to talk to them a little bit

about their experience there.

So before we get started talking about that,

maybe have you guys introduce yourselves,

talk about what you do, your history and cycling,

and maybe how did you got into bike packing?

So we'll start with Donald.

Yeah, so my name's Donald,

and I guess I was a mechanic for years here in Atlanta, worked on bikes and rode a bunch.

I raced down at the velodrome for a bit.

Done mountain bike races off and on, but never really got into cross-country or anything.

And started, I don't know how, I started paying attention to the bike camping, bike packing scene a couple of years back.

And I think I started when Tovel, who runs Leavesnut Cycles here in Atlanta, led a campaign down to go do the hurricane in Florida.

I missed the first outing for that.

So the second year I came back and wrote it, and that kind of got me hooked.

And then I found out about this route in Georgia, which is considerably less flat than the Florida

route and decided to set my sights on that. So, you know, that's me.
