0:00.0	Hi, I'm Edward Sree, and welcome to all things Catholic where real faith meets real life. Do you long to give yourself more to Jesus at every Mass? You know I think even the best of us we show up at the liturgy sometimes in our mind
0:23.1	wanders, we get distracted, maybe our heart's not really in it, and we leave Mass and we're wondering,
0:27.8	was I even really there?
0:29.8	Was it really spiritually present to the Lord?
0:31.8	And deep down, I want to give Jesus all my heart all
0:35.3	my soul all my strength all my mind and yet I show up at Mass and many times I just kind of
0:42.3	went through the motions.
0:43.7	Do you know what I'm talking about?
0:44.5	And I think this happens at various parts of the mass,
0:48.1	I think especially the middle part.
0:50.3	Does this ever happen to you?
0:51.7	You know, that part where there's the presentation of the gifts?
0:55.0	You know, there's this family maybe representing the parish.
0:58.8	They're chosen to go bring up the bread, the wine, and a basket of money, and I'm not really involved in that so I can kind of tune out at that moment.
1:07.0	You know, I can kind of treat that like like halftime. Okay, this is like halftime. It's a break in the action. I can kind of just relax a little bit but if we
1:14.0	really understood what was happening what the symbolism is of that bread and
1:19.4	that wine processing up the center aisle going up to the altar into the hands of the priests.
1:25.7	If we really understood what was going on at this part of the Mass at all parts of the Mass,
1:30.0	I think we would be able to give ourselves more to God at every liturgy.
1:33.7	And that's what I want to talk about today.
1:35.1	I want to talk about this part, especially this middle point of the mass,
1:39.2	which is so important for preparing us for the most amazing event in the whole universe and that is the great work of
