But it was awesome. We're going to talk today about the events that took

place this day, the Sunday before Passover. We call Palm Sunday. That was not what they called it

back then. It is found in your Bibles in Matthew chapter 21.

This series of events that take place is found in all four Gospels.

And just to give you like a little bit of help for when you

study your Bible, how to do that, you can take what you read in each gospel, and you can look

at how they're similar and also how they're different. Each writer had different audience members

and readers in mind. So when read matthew which we're

going to spend a good amount of time in today the author was writing to a jewish audience and so he

takes great pains to show the reader how jesus was the foretold Messiah that they should know.

And it's so, so important on this day, Palm Sunday, that we take some notes from what

happened to these people, the crowds that followed Jesus, so that we take great pains to not let

what happened to them happen to us, to miss your Messiah.
