This is life eternal. This is just like a definition. If you were to

look this up in a dictionary, here is the definition of eternal life. This is life

eternal that they might know thee, the only true God and Jesus Christ

whom thou hast sent.

Eternal life is knowing God. And some people think that's all it is. Well that's because

you don't understand what the word know means. It's not talking about just intellectual

things, but this is the same way that this word was used when it talked

about that Adam knew his wife Eve and that she conceived and bore a son.

It's talking about intimacy, it's talking about close intimate

personal relationship. It's used to describe the sexual relationship between

a man and his wife. Everybody get that? A man and his wife. That's marriage. And it's

describing intimacy and so when it says that the reason Jesus died and gave himself

for our sins isn't so that we would perish, but so that we would have eternal life.

Let me say this to you and this will shock some of you but stick with me until you listen to me

explain this.

If all you did was get your sins forgiven so that you won't perish and don't go to hell,

then you are missing out on the purpose of salvation.

That is a radical statement that most of the body of Christ does not agree with.
