0:37.0	And like I said, last night I started teaching on what prayer is not.
0:42.0	This is the approach that Jesus took in Matthew chapter six and
0:46.9	he started off by saying don't when you pray don't be like the hypocrites. They love
0:51.0	to pray and they love they think they're going to be heard for their much speaking.
0:54.7	They stand on street corners so that people could give them praise and on and on and they
1:00.0	use vain repetitions. We talked against all of that stuff last night.
1:04.8	What I want to do today is to talk about what prayer is.
1:09.5	And this may surprise you.
1:11.8	You know, a lot of people, I would think if you just ask the average person
1:15.5	out on the street what's prayer all about most people would say something
1:19.8	about it so that you can make your request known to God so that you can pray and God can
1:25.0	give you something so that you can receive and that's a part of it. The Bible says in
1:29.4	James Chapter 4, you have not because you ask not and so it is appropriate to ask he even told us
1:36.9	ask and believe that you receive when you pray so asking is a part of prayer. But let me just present it to you this way.
1:46.2	What did Adam and Eve do when they talk to God in the cool of the evening? Genesis chapter
1:51.9	3, verse 8.
1:53.9	God meant with them before they sin.
1:57.5	How did they commune with God?
