1:18.0 | And for a lot of us, when we try to focus, |
1:22.0 | there tends to be a more forceful effort involved. I know this has been my |
1:28.4 | conditioning ever since I was young anytime I needed to focus on something it always felt forceful as if I was |
1:36.7 | ripping my attention from where it wanted to go and really just trying to keep it and |
1:42.1 | sustain it there. |
1:43.7 | And I also found in my meditation practice early on |
1:47.3 | there was the same sort of approach to the practice. |
1:52.2 | I know my mind's all over the place. |
1:54.0 | I have to focus on something such as the breath. |
1:58.0 | And I'm going to be really diligent in keeping my attention there. |
