I ran another 5K this weekend and the fact that I'm here to talk about it.

Yes, I ran another 5K.

I'm starting to like this running more and more. This was my fourth 5K.

I've done 110K. And I'm starting to enjoy it. It is fun. This 5K was to benefit the Ormond Beach

Police Athletic League, PAL. They called it the Ormond Beach Donut Dash. That's a little bit of humor.

I guess the police have a sense of humor about all the stereotypes of the meeting donuts.

But anyway, they did a fantastic job.

Just a shout out to everyone involved, the police department, the volunteers, and the sponsors.

They had energy drinks, snacks, you name it. They did a wonderful job. Nice course.

Went through a neighborhood, but a very scenic neighborhood down here in Ormond Beach,

and I would definitely sign up to do it again next year. Great job. How did I do? Well,

it was two seconds better than my best time, which on a surface might not sound all that

impressive, but my takeaway from it was I'm less gas now, which means I'm pacing myself better,

and I think I'm getting in better shape. And I was told when I started this, focus on endurance,

speed will come.

So right now I don't really care about speed.

I finished third overall my age group, but hey, that doesn't matter.

I finished and I'm feeling good and it's helping me to stay physically fit at a time when I'm not able to hike much.
