0:20.9	Welcome back to the Daily Blade. This week, we are going to look at a particular miracle of
0:24.9	Jesus called the Healing at the Pool of Bethesda. But one of the things I want to point out
0:30.1	about it is that in the gospel of John, he never calls miracles miracles. He actually calls
0:36.9	his miracles signs. I want to read through this
0:39.6	miracle and then we'll talk about why that is. It's found in John chapter 5, beginning of verse 1, it says
0:44.5	this. And after this, there was a feast of the Jews and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there was in
0:51.1	Jerusalem by the sheep gate, a pool, an Aramaic called Bethesda, which has five
0:56.6	roofed colonnades. In these lay a multitude of invalids, blind, lame, and paralyzed.
1:02.1	One man was there who had been an invalid for 38 years. And when Jesus saw him lying there
1:08.0	and knew he had already been there a long time. He said to him,
1:12.0	Do you want to be healed? The sick man answered him, sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up.
1:19.7	And while I am going, another steps down before me. And Jesus said to him, get up, take up your bed, and walk.
1:26.9	And at once the man was healed. and he took up his bed and walked
1:30.7	now that day was the sabbath so the jews said to the man who had been healed it is the sabbath and it is not lawful for you to take up your bed
1:39.1	but he answered them the man who healed me that man said to me take up your bed and walk they asked him who is the man who healed me, that man said to me, take up your bed and walk.
1:45.5	They asked him, who is the man who said to you, take up your bed and walk?
1:49.6	Now, the man who had been healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn.
1:54.8	As there was a crowd in the place, afterwards, Jesus found him in the temple and said to him,
2:00.5	See, you are well.
2:02.1	Sin no more, that nothing worse may happen to you.
2:05.4	The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him.
