Psalm chapter 107 verses 39 through 42.

When they are diminished and brought low through oppression, evil, and sorrow, he pours contempt

on princes and makes them wander in trackless wastes, but he raises up the needy out of affliction and makes

their families like flocks. The upright see it and are glad, and all wickedness shuts its mouth.

These verses come at the end of a long psalm just recounting the history of God's people. And specifically, when you get

to verse 39, you see read about effects of oppression, evil, and sorrow upon people.

But then you get to verse 41 and it says,

but God raises up the needy out of affliction.

And by the end of verse 42 all wickedness is shutting its mouth.

So here's why I read these verses as we are praying for specific things during this pandemic that people are

sending in through radical.net slash prayer request I encourage you to

continue to send in just specific prayer requests for you, your family, your community, church, city, or country as we pray for each other specifically in light of this pandemic and I

want to read today what Jonathan wrote he said please pray for children that are stuck right now in abusive homes, that they would be safe,

and that their parents or abusers would awaken to the evil that they are doing and find

their answer in God and His Grace.
