0:05.0	I've interviewed attackers, defenders, black hats, white hats, law enforcement,

0:25.9	It's completely legal since it's often governments who buy the exploit,

0:31.5	Maybe there's NDAs behind each deal, where the people who bought it want the exploit

0:38.4	And on top of that, they don't want anyone to know they just acquired it.
0:42.0	Because if someone buys an exploit for, say, $100,000, it's like buying a weapon.
0:47.6	Someone can use that to access a victim's device without them knowing.
0:51.7	But that expensive weapon can instantly become worthless
0:55.6	if it becomes known to the vendor and they create a patch for it.
0:59.7	In fact, that's where the name Zero Day comes from.
