This idea that I had actually when I was 18 in 1972 to become a psychedelic therapist

and try to bring back psychedelic research and integrate psychedelics into the culture,

kind of a, you know, 60s hippie idea that I had when I was 18 in 1972 that, you know, turned

60 last year and it still seems like a really good idea.

All right, that's a wolf pick playing their hit tune fugue state.

I don't know if it's a hit tune.

I never heard of it until I got an email a couple days ago from a guy named Jack Stratton

who said that he in the band, what was the, how do you say, we bump, he said we're all fans

of your podcast, we bump it in the tour of them.

So very cool of them to let me use the music.

Again, it's called fugue state and the band is wolfpeck with a V, V-U-L-F-P-E-C-K.

I imagine that's German for wolf pack, but I'm just taking a shot in the dark there.

Not really sure.

So the gray days have come to Portland.

That beautiful, glorious summer I've mentioned in previous episodes is now officially over.

Seems like it coincided with the end of daylight savings time.

I'm not sure if it happens that way every year, but it's been gray and drizzly here since

I got back from Spain a while ago and so we're sockin' in for the winter.

Apologies for my voice.

I still have this cold and as you'll hear in this episode, I had it much worse a few

weeks ago.

I sound like I'm at the bottom of the sea.
