0:05.4	Today, I'm going to talk a bit about frugality and living on one income because this is something I'm actually really familiar with
0:14.6	We did this for
0:17.5	Let's see here. I should have thought about how many years this was before getting on here
0:21.4	But I started my blog about five and a half years ago. We've been married for
0:28.2	13 and a half years. So for eight years
0:32.4	We lived on my husband's income, which was he just worked for the city that we lived in so he did public works
0:40.4	People always ask what that means. It means fixing potholes
0:44.2	He always says picking dead animals up off the road. That's the less glamour side of his job
0:49.9	Clearing streets whenever it snows a lot or fixing water leaks all of those public works type of things
0:57.3	He did that for the first 11 years of our marriage and then three years ago
1:01.7	He quit his job to come home and we do the blog together now. So for the first
1:08.3	11 years of our marriage we lived on one income and
1:12.8	We had five kids in that time. So I am very familiar with living on a small budget
1:19.7	But still making it work. Now this is something I like to talk about a lot because I
1:26.3	Know that there's a lot of people I know who totally do this have this figured out
1:30.8	But there's also a lot of people and of course, okay, I have to give my caveats because I get people who are get really angry when they feel like this won't work for them
1:40.4	But I know I have people in other parts of the country where maybe living expenses are a lot more challenging or in other countries
1:48.5	Where living expenses are really challenging. So I am speaking from a Missouri
1:53.3	Midwest perspective and
1:55.0	I'm acknowledging here that I'm aware of the fact that it could be a different situation depending on where you live
