Four Air Forces during the Second World War, there are three broad categories of performance

during the war.

The first category involves air forces that entered the war in a rough state, and were never

given the opportunity to recover. I would put France and Poland as good examples of this.

The second are air forces that entered the war in a very good situation, did very well,
