And since my dog has been conditioned, again, systematically and deliberately, to expect that an

important, relevant piece of information may come from me at any time during that window,

he's going to be watching me a lot more closely.

I'm also making sure that he's really well motivated because when he does respond to the queue,

a big party happens.

He gets a big reinforcer.

Whatever my reinforcement strategy is for that particular session.
