So, you might notice today my voice is even deeper than usual because it's a cold, it's

allergies, it's spring, I don't know, but here I am.

I'm really excited, honored, privileged that you're taking some time out of your life

to spend it with me.

I really do appreciate it because I know you guys are busy and I love being in conversation with you. So today

we're going to be talking about the dangers of caring more about other people

or caring more about other people's feelings than you do about your own.

So before we get into it, like let's talk about why we do this, that it's so common that we're prioritizing other people's feelings over

our own, even complete strangers. So have you ever been on a plane in the window seat, which is always a

nightmare for me? I would always rather be on the aisle, probably for this reason. and you really have to pee. But the person in the

aisle seat is snoring away, is sleeping, is watching their movie very intensely or whatever they're doing and does it really make

like when you think about it does it make you go I can hold it it's fine

because a hassle to get up I I'm not going to deal with it, you know?

Think about though, simply for not wanting to inconvenience the person in the aisle, which of course everyone knows if you're sitting not

in the I'll, but of course everyone knows if you're sitting in the aisle

and there's two people who are not in the aisle but are trapped inside,
