So you told me once that you learned about wine from drinking a lot of bad wine.

How did that all start?

Well it wasn't too much bad wine.

It was a short period.

Basically, after college I went to France and got to use my grandmother's

apartment and we decided to live French a little bit and cook some meals and

there was some of this wine left over and it was really pretty basic stuff.

And what was Paris like at that time?

You know it was a lot of culture and it was a lot of fun to just go around all day and do

cultural stuff and then pick up food and kind of live the French life and have some cheese

after the meal and have some of this grandma wine.

Had that been something that you'd had some experience within the States or no?

Was it more like the supermarket experience? Well, my parents are French and my mom was a pretty good cook.

But they like the supermarket.

That was something, you know, my dad did the shopping once a week and

but we go in summer to France and then we'd find that there you you buy from more small

stores and and you have cheese after your meal and all that kind of stuff.
