As promised, I'm going to talk to you about mothers and daughters this week.

The first studio of mothers is to disciple their children, and this means teaching them how to follow the Lord.

First, by showing them, second, by direct teaching.

And this teaching begins on day one.

Both sons and daughters are to be brought up in the Lord.

My mother-in-law used to tell me that I had three in my little Bible school, three in my little congregation.

There's plenty of overlap in bringing up sons and daughters in the Lord.

And Christian discipleship needs to be part of everyday's activities.

You want your home to be a Bible-saturated, love-saturated home.

But God has created and called us to bring up future men and future women, and God equips us to do it.

So with daughters, we are on more familiar territory than we are with sons.

But even so, we will still have many occasions to ask God for wisdom.

Always, always, look to the Word.

Psalm 144-12 in the King James Version says that our daughters may be as cornerstones polished after the smillitude of a palace.

I love the way the King James Version phrases this, polished cornerstones like a palace.

Now, how can mothers help this process of bringing up daughters to be polished cornerstones?

How do we hinder it?

So we are either going to be greatly used of the Lord to bring them up in the right way, or we are going to be in the way ourselves of bringing them up in the Lord.

It's our choice.

Every day is a new day, and we have to begin right away, as I already said.
