now this is a very fascinating conversation.

Denzel worked in politics for a long time

and then transition to working with a group called

the Dogwood Alliance trying to protect North Carolina from get ready the logging industry that is

currently chopping down the forest repackaging it as wood pellets to sell

overseas that is then labeled renewable energy.

And we talk a lot about why the environment matters,

why his work is important, and why we have to work together to see a better world.

This is a really fascinating episode, very different than maybe our normal kind of flow,

but man, I really recommend sitting down putting this on during your driver, wherever you listen to this

podcast, and really

trying to listen because Denzel's story is really powerful and he drops a lot of

important I would argue golden nuggets both about politics and how Democrats and Republicans both have their problems

and also about the environment.
