Hello, this is the Grenfell Tower Inquiry podcast, reporting every day the inquiry sits.

I'm Eddie Mayer. Today the inquiry heard from three people who worked for the tenant management organisation which ran Grenfell.

All of them were there on the night of the fire. Hash Shamsun was head of supported housing at the tenant management organisation,

which is always referred to at the inquiry as TMO.

On the night of the fire, Hash Shamsun was called at 1.30 by the TMO's chief executive, Robert Black.

He asked me if I was aware that there was a fire at Grenfell, which I wasn't.

He asked me if I would be happy to go down.

I live locally.

So I had no hesitation in volunteering to go down.

And he explained that he was making his way down.

And would I mind going down in advance of him

as TMO representative which is what I did.

Hasham Shun cycled to Grenfell and arrived around 2.15.

He identified himself to a police officer and was taken to a fire brigade command unit,

the mobile office from where firefighters were coordinating their response.

The first thing that I did was I knocked on the door of the porter cabin.

Yes.

And my recollection is I think I went in because I remember seeing three, possibly four

LFB officers in there.

I identified who I was and I explained that the chief executive and other members of

the TMO were on their way and that I was there on behalf of the TMO.

Hashamshun then called Robert Black to say he'd arrived.
