In the history of Israel, time was sort of pregnant with the Son of God, and at the precise

moment God willed. Israel went into labor and brought Jesus forth to share the lot of fallen

humanity himself.

The Word of the Lord Endures Forever is a daily verse-by-verse Bible study with the church,

past and present.

Pastor Whedon is leading us in a study of the book of Galatians.

Greetings, people, loved by God.

So last time we began with Paul's asking the question of whether the law is contrary to God's promises. His conclusion was, no way. The problem, remember, isn't in the law. It's inside of us.

And that is what the law shows.

It imprisons us all under sin. That is, it reveals us all to be prisoners of sin, and it does so,

so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ can be delivered to absolutely all who believe.
