I think that's really huge to be able to take that step back and say whatever was happening

in your partner's family was happening before you showed up.

And that sometimes once people get married, once they bring children into the dynamic,

that then these issues start to surface because, you know, this new family unit wants to have

boundaries, learn perhaps, that family has never had boundaries before.
