Say, we've got a great one today, you know, for a change. David Letterman. This is a repeat. We repeat

only the very, very, very few good ones that we've done. And this one is

really fun. David, of course, the king of late night, 33 years hosting, reinvented the talk show,

influenced so many hosts. Conan O'Brien, I know, has talked about how even David's early daytime show

was just a revelation to him. David's also been a good friend. He had Franken and Davis on all

the time. You'll hear about the comedy team that weighs the same. And then later, I'd appear

myself. And what I loved about David as a host,

as an interviewer, David always had faith that I knew what I was doing. And sometimes I took,

you know, a little time developing something. And this was something I could sometimes feel that other talk show hosts were nervous if there wasn't a laugh every 30 seconds.

Anyway, it always worked out.
