Summary

For Topic Tuesday, the guys are asked about the balance between maximum luxury and minimum technology. Jacob S. asks if there’s a market for cars that are technologically great to be in, but still maintain some analog feel? Then, they debate non-boring cars for Adam M., who admits to automotive ADHD when it comes to choosing his next car. Social media questions ask about the Nyobolt concept, what’s the best second car if you already have an MX-5 RF, and can you give yourself permission to sell? This is a car show, but it's also more because cars connect us to every part of our lives.

0:07.0

Families, careers, hobbies, and adventures we never expected.

0:11.0

So you should have a car you love. We're here to help. I'm Todd. I'm Paul and

0:17.6

this is the everyday driver car debate. Hello everybody welcome back to the podcast as you can tell we are not in studio because we are

0:26.4

Scattered across the nation getting ready to reunite for a shoot that's happening this week

0:30.4

But we are in different locations. I've been on vacation.

0:33.0

Paul is now on vacation. We're getting together to still do a

0:36.2

podcast because there's stuff to discuss. Yeah there is. We've got new cars

0:40.7

being revealed here starting off with the 2025 outie Q5 that is

0:44.4

revealed and all I can think about are the amount of SQ5s in Park City

0:49.1

that I see in a daily basis the new one is announced to be $91,000 and it seems to me the amount of

0:56.5

horsepower that Audi has announced for the SQ5 is 326 horsepower out of the 3 liter 6 which is nice but for 91,000 dollars I would go look

1:08.7

at Mercedes because they have AMG products with a lot more power and I think some of them are less money so I'm kind of wondering I mean it looks good

1:16.8

It looks refined it now has a totally different interior you know I guess angrier styling on the front same engines are carrying over but all new

1:26.1

styling interior and exterior it's now got a passenger screen I mean it's it's leaning

1:30.9

into the tech side of it but I agree with you $91,000 is an astounding amount of money and for $91,000 you have a lot of choice.

1:42.0

That's the biggest problem that I see. If it was, look it's not going to be, but if it was 65, you'd be like, wow, that's compelling. You know, almost 100 grand, you have a ton, forget SUVs from it, just in general,

1:56.8

the amount of choice you have is astounding. Granted, you're going to be able to get the base Q5 for probably what 50 so you know I get it but

2:06.2

there's a huge range there and but everybody you're right everybody in Park

2:09.4

City just buys the big one so to speak so So many outies in my neighborhood.

2:14.0

Yeah, the big one's not going to be big enough though, is my suggestion here.

2:18.8

It'd be very interesting to see.
