Summary

Just before Christmas, I got to talk with John Cooper of the band Skillet about his recent posts about what is happening within the church and the chaos in society. We also talk about his new book, Awake and Alive to Truth, which is a clarion call to Christians to live by biblical truth, rather than cultural norms.

And then little Zoe Girl, doing our team pop. And so sometimes we felt out of place. Sometimes it

felt like we were performing to an audience that was politely tolerating us while they're waiting

1:49.9

to get their skillet on or their audio adrenaline or something. But I just remember how, this is so

1:56.6

vivid in my mind. Just how absolutely kind you and Corey, your wife were and your whole band.

2:03.9

I mean, I just mind memory of skillet was that you guys would go out of your way to be warm and

welcoming to us in an environment that wasn't probably our natural habitat. So I wanted to

make sure I said that. Yeah. I'm so glad. Because usually people say that I'm nice, but Corey's
