How y'all doing? How y'all doing? My name is Moses Moody. I'm gonna be performing an original poem called He Beat the Streets.

You gotta put everything in perspective. Basketball is what it is, but basketball is what I like to do, how I want to feed my family one day,

but those other things are real life.

You struggle to reach a destination where my uncle found himself in Max Incarceration all because he had this you know basketball it is what it is but at the end of the day it is a game but when you put the ball down, real life starts to take place.

And the older I get, the more I start to see that,

who had offers from all over the country.

He won a state title at North Little Rock and became a prep star alongside some of the

best players in the country.

This guy can really shoot the ball, Moses Moody.

Many project him as a future first round. can really shoot the ball Moses Moody.

Many project him as a future first round draft pick.

And while his NBA aspirations are lofty,

he sees himself making a difference off the court as well.

I can't change the station when I see my youth dying on TV.

I got this deeper connection since they all look like me.

That poem he performed in high school is just one example of how Moody has

maturity well beyond his years. I have the power to control my future. A lot of

young people don't look at it that way and don't realize that when I'm 35 years old,
