So today we have francy here, who's my cohost on best case worst case. And we have francy is going to talk to us about cases like the ones that we've discussed in the keepers.

Prosecuting child sex crimes cases. Can you tell us what your experiences in that area?

Sure, I've prosecuted a lot of child sex crimes cases. I've had hundreds and hundreds and even thousands of cases of child sexual abuse and child physical abuse.

The cases are very difficult to prosecute. There's no question about it. It's unlike any other crime.

If you think about, for example, a bank robbery or a car theft or a car jacking or someone who is robbed at gunpoint on a street corner, nobody ever really doubts whether those crimes have happened.

There's most often lots of evidence, either eyewitnesses, video surveillance, physical evidence, things are missing.

But when it comes to prosecuting child sexual abuse and child physical abuse, cruelty to children, it's different. There is always a dispute.

The offender says either the crime didn't happen in the case of a child homicide, for example. There's always a dispute about whether it was an accident.
