Well, we've got an important one today, you know, for a change.

Dahlia Lithwick has been with us on quite a few occasions.

She joins me.

Usually we laugh a lot.

This one, not so much, because we're talking about abortion.

And also joining me, Sarah Sarah Stace who is CEO of

Planned Parenthood for Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Iowa and Nebraska, who gives us a very

sobering and really very disturbing look at what has been happening on the ground for years in terms of assaults

on reproductive rights in the Upper Midwest. For example, there are no doctors in South Dakota

who perform abortions. A doctor has to fly in, usually from Minnesota. The reality for women, especially

for poor women, right now is deliberately onerous. And we will be discussing the Mississippi law,

which was argued before the Supreme Court. And of course, that's the role Dahlia plays on this

podcast. She has her own podcast, Amicus, about the court. And she talks about the disingenuousness

of some of the questioning by the conservative judges, particularly Kavanaugh, and how the real lives of women will be affected

if this law is upheld and row overturned. It turned out that the evening before we taped this

was on Wednesday, so the evening before it would be, I think, Tuesday. Dahlia did a Zoom

session with Sarah and progresses in Fargo.

Dahlia and Sarah are real leaders. I've known Sarah for 13 years. She's been at this for 20 plus years,

and she is the perfect person to talk about what happens if Roe is overturned.

So don't expect a lot of laughs, folks.
