And the first thing that happened was I had this image of a young girl and her mom walking home.

I think it was from a bakery in the short story to this building and only a couple of the lights were on in the in the whole you know up up the whole

side of it it was all this sort of swirling pandemic induced haze and it felt very and then I and then I

kind of dawdled with it for a long time when I when the short story was finished I finished

it in like I think think, three days.

And then I'm kind of messed with it and was like, okay, but like, what's the, you know,

sort of trying to explore it and world build a little bit in my mind and a little bit on paper. And then the whole plot came to me, maybe three months later. And I wrote it frantically. I wrote the first draft

very, very quickly over the course of, I don't know, maybe three weeks, maybe a month.
