All right, what's up everybody? Welcome to another edition of Move the Sticks.

I am Rhett Lewis here with Bucky Brooks today. Post Christmas edition here is we've had

a fantastic holiday weekend full of football. One that DJ apparently decide wasn't worth

his presence this Monday morning. So that's fine. Bucky and I ready to rock and roll here

for you. And man, rocking the NFL world today, though, Bucky, before we get into the big

three and we will with some massive games from this week's 16 and the league, some massive

news out of Denver, the Broncos. After 16 weeks of this season have fired Nathaniel

Hackett. It was something that has been talked about for weeks now. Gosh, even going back

to week one following all the game management situations. And then the quarterback played

deteriorating and listening to Tom Pellicero and Ian Rappaport on NFL Network today,

Bucky talking about Hackett, you know, and watching the team unravel on the sidelines

was a huge piece of this as well, kind of losing control of things as you get a look at

it. What were your first thoughts? Yeah, I feel like it's unfortunate. I feel like it

was unfortunate for Nathaniel Hackett because he's been in position to fill from day one.

All of the scrutiny around his coaching, the decisions that were made as related to game

management. A lot of those opinions were formed based on the fact that everyone expected

Russell Wilson to be a top five player. And what happened? Russell Wilson hasn't played

the expectation. And so rather than point to Russell, initially, they pointed to the coaching.

And then once that drum beat started growing, it was going to be impossible for Nathaniel

Hackett to overcome it unless the team completely turned around and unless the quarterback played

better. And then it comes down to simple economics. Russell Wilson has inked the deal that
