Welcome back to The Incomparable Podcast.

And in this episode, we're going to be talking about a television show that has come to us, the American heathens, from across the pond from the UK. It is Sherlock, the second season of the modern day retailing of Arthur Conan Doyle's famous detective, executive produced by Stephen Moffitt, who also runs a show

called Doctor Who, that you may have heard of, as well as Mark Gaitis, who has written some

Doctor Who episodes as well, and did League of Gentlemen, not League of Extraordinary Gentlemen,

just regular gentlemen, hilarious sort of bizarre comedy show from the UK. Anyway, Gatis and Moffat are back with

three more movie length, sort of 90-minute-long episodes of Sherlock starring Benedict Cumberbatch

as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman, who you may know from the office and you will soon know

from The Hobbit as Dr. Watson.

So, uh, joining me today to talk about the second season of Sherlock, which aired in the

UK in January, I believe, and is airing in the U.S. in the month of May. In fact, by the time

you hear this, I believe the second episode will be

airing about the same time we post this episode. So, uh, joining me today are Dan Moran. Hi, Dan.

Hi, Jason. Thanks for being here. My pleasure. And it's elementary that John Syracusa would be

here as well. Hi, John. Is this the alternate universe

version of this podcast where these shows are just now airing and we just saw them? I can't keep

track of which universe we're in. It's plausible to not. Isn't it great that the people at the BBC

think so highly of the incomparable podcast that they sent us screeners before it aired in the U.S.?
