What's up everybody? Welcome back to Lights Out.

Today's episode is on the Betty and Barney Hill Alien Abduction.

This story happened 50 years ago, but it is still one of the most famous alien abduction stories out there,

as well as sort of the OG alien abduction story just in general, because we really didn't hear too much about people being abducted by aliens until Betty and Barney Hill had their experience.

It's really sort of this historical event in history that has kind of gone down as folklore at this point.

At this point a lot of people don't believe that Betty and Barney Hill had this alien abduction experience,

but there's also a lot of people that do believe they really had this experience.

At the end of this, you'll have to let me know what you think of it, and whether or not you believe Betty and Barney Hill were really abducted by aliens.

Let's talk about Betty and Barney Hill.

Barney was an African American fellow, and he was born on July 20th, 1922, in Newport News, Virginia.

And he was the youngest of his four siblings, and as a young man, he enlisted in the United States Army during World War II,

and later was discharged after serving his term.

After he got out of the military, he attended Temple University, and then later got married to a woman named Ruby, and he actually had two kids with Ruby.

However, their marriage did not go very well, and eventually they got divorced, and then soon after he got divorced, Barney met Betty Barrett.

Now Betty Barrett was born on June 28th, 1919, in Newton, New Hampshire, and she attended the University of New Hampshire, where she earned a master's degree in social sciences.
