subversion case has the president's legal team busy as a trice to delay,

dismiss and overturn some of the cases he's facing. But the majority opinion from Chief Justice John Roberts leaves many technical questions unresolved, making it increasingly unlikely that a trial can get underway before the November election.

What has Donald Trump told us over and over again?

Retribution that he is going to seek to use the Department of Justice

to exact retribution. So just right in this portion of the decision.

Though the 6-3 ruling allow special prosecutor Jack Smith

to inch the case towards resolution,

the lower courts now have to review the specific steps

And only hours after the ruling, a source says that Trump's legal team cited the decision

and moved to overturn his conviction in the New York-Hush money case.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden was offering a direct response to the Supreme Court ruling

that could hand Trump a pass to unchecked power if he wins a second term.
