Tuesday, July 2nd. The Supreme Court's presidential immunity ruling doesn't

only impact the federal elections of aversion case against Donald Trump.

The former president's legal team is also using it to challenge his conviction on business

fraud charges in the New York hush money trial.

Trump's sentencing in that case was scheduled for next Thursday.

But now the Manhattan DA is open to postponing it,

pitching that both sides submit briefs to the judge by July 24th

on the Supreme Court's immunity ruling and how it impacts this case.

Trump's legal team argues that his official acts in the White House, which the High Court

ruled are immune from prosecution, were used as evidence against him when they shouldn't have.

The Manhattan DA said in a letter that they believe Trump's arguments are without merit,

but it's up to Judge Juan Mershaun to decide next steps here.

Meanwhile, the New York Supreme Court announced that former New York City Mayor

Rulie Giuliani has been officially disbarred in the state for his role in the

2020 election interference efforts.

Hurricane Barrel has strengthened into a powerful category 5 hurricane as it barrels

across the Caribbean leaving many islands along its path in ruins.

It ripped through the windward islands where it killed at least three people, and it's expected to bring life-threatening winds and storm surge to Jamaica tomorrow.
