Israeli forces say more than half a million people have now evacuated to southern Gaza, but the UN says they've got no food,

no water, no power, and nowhere to go.

Egypt is coming under pressure to set up a humanitarian corridor to get people out of the enclave and to get aid in.

But so far, officials are denying that any crossings have been set up.

Ravina Shamda Sam Dasani from the UN Human Rights Office is calling for a humanitarian pause in fighting.

There is significant amount of aid actually waiting at the border to be let in.

I mean we are looking at potentially thousands of debts if this aid doesn't get

through. A huge diplomatic effort is underway to get people in Gaza the help they

need and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinkin is in Israel today to meet

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other officials.

Shamdasani condemned Hamas's terror attack on Israel but said people in

Gaza are now also suffering.

We have seen essentially a collective punishment of the people of Gaza and civilians are once again bearing

the brunt of the violence as well as the dire humanitarian situation.

The Hamas controlled government in Gaza says dozens of unidentified bodies have had to be buried

in mass graves. Israeli forces have accused Hamas of

using civilians as shields and say the terror group is holding a hundred and ninety nine

hostages in Gaza. A federal judge will consider today whether to put a gag order against Donald Trump over his election

subversion case in Washington.

Judge Tanya Chutkin has said before she thinks public comments made by the former president or his

attorneys could possibly threaten the case.
