Israel is pounding Gaza with deadly airstrikes, after the country's defense minister warned of a quote, complete siege.

The Israeli embassy in the US says more than 1,000 people have died in Israel and more than

760 Palestinians have been killed since the conflict erupted.

Israeli authorities believe women and children are among the 100 to 150

hostages being held by Hamas in Gaza, who militants are threatening to execute.

And Israeli parents are being told to remove social media from their kids' phones, ahead of

expected broadcasts of hostage videos taken by Hamas over the weekend.
