Hello, from CNN, I'm Joe Beck with the five things you need to know for Monday

September 30th. The Biden administration is working with Israel to prepare

defenses because of concerns Iran could attack.

That's what a U.S. official told CNN, saying there are fears Iran will retaliate

after the assassination of Hezbollah's leader Hassan Nasrala last week.

White House National Security spokesman John Kirby says they're tracking Tehran's next steps.

We'll watch and see what they do.

We certainly will make sure that we have the capability to not only

defend our troops and our facilities, diplomats and military as well as Israel itself.

If it comes to that, hopefully it won't.

Nasrala's killing could be a crippling blow to Hezbollah and to Iran's control in the region,

but the militant group's highest ranking member says it will continue to fight.
