July 23rd. Just two days after she launched her campaign, Vice President

Carmelah Harris has got the support of enough

delegates to secure the Democratic nomination and her team says she's already

raised more than a hundred million dollars including from 1.1 million unique donors.

Harris's growing list of supporters includes governors, lawmakers, and labor and advocacy groups,

as well as British singer Charlie XC.X. She posted on X quote,

Carmeler is Brat. And if you don't know what that means, I recommend finding a member of

Gen Z and asking them to explain.

What it means for her campaign is a lot of social media attention.

That could be helpful in getting support from younger voters, as the Democrats go from having an

age problem to a possible age advantage, with Harris being 59,

while former President Donald Trump is 78.

Delegates still have to vote next month to officially nominate Harris,

but her campaign is already looking ahead and vetting possible running mates.

The likely short list includes governors from key battleground states, like Pennsylvania's Josh Shapiro.

That's a deeply personal decision and a decision that should be made really free from any political pressure.

Nearly four in ten US adults say they worry each month that they won't be able to pay their bills.
