December 4th. As Israel widens its attacks on Gaza the UN is looking back at the October 7th attack that ignited the conflict.

Specifically, it's looking at how Hamas allegedly used sexual violence and rape against

Israeli women.

Israeli media and CNN have heard horrific accounts of the attacks on women on October 7th,

including some we've chosen not to repeat on this podcast because of how upsetting they are.

And yet the abuses have received relatively little international attention,

with the UN Women Agency facing criticism for being slow to condemn Hamas's actions.
