Medical crews in Gaza say they're working to recover hundreds of bodies from the Al-Shifa hospital, after it was under siege for two weeks.

Israeli forces have now withdrawn from the complex, and a Palestinian health official

described the devastation as a massacre. They also said people had been found dehydrated and starving with

infected wounds. Videos obtained by CNN show several decomposed and disfigured bodies, partly buried beneath the rubble of what was once the structure of Gaza's largest hospital.

Israeli forces described the siege as a precise operation killing Hamas targets, but a journalist working for CNN says whole families have been killed.

It comes as huge anti-government protests in Israel have entered a second day, as people call

for hostages to be returned from Gaza.

CNN's Melissa Bell spoke to protesters last night.
