Thousands of people held huge anti-government protests in Israel over the weekend, calling for

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's resignation,

and for hostages in Gaza to be freed.

It comes as negotiations between Israel and Hamas have started up again in Egypt after talks over hostage releases and a ceasefire hit another stalemate last week.

In Gaza Israeli forces have withdrawn from the Al-Shifa Hospital after a two-week siege.

CNN's Nada Bishir has been following this.

Nada, what are we hearing about the state of the hospital now forces have left?

Well Joe, a spokesman for Gaza's civil defence has told CNN that buildings on the hospital complex have been completely destroyed or burned down.

Bodies are said to be piling up on the hospital's grounds with at least 400 people killed according to the

Palestinian Health Ministry. Now over the course of the last two weeks we have heard

countless troubling reports of what Palestinians trapped in and around the

hospital have endured.

Doctors telling CNN they weren't able to even move between hospital buildings

for fear of being targeted by Israeli snipers.
