At least 200 students at Columbia University

have barricaded the entrance to one of the main buildings on campus.

Overnight, pro-Palestinian protesters made their way

from the Westlawn encampment to Hamilton Hall, which is where the Dean's office is.

About a dozen are inside the building, and university officials have told students to avoid the area.

The building is symbolic for the university because in 1968 students occupied it

while protesting the school's tie to the war in Vietnam and again in the 80s as part of the

South Africa Apartheid divestment movement.

Columbia says it started suspending students yesterday for refusing to pack up their encampment,

but even in the face of suspensions and arrests, this protester says he's not going anywhere.
