President Joe Biden has a call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

today and tensions over the war in Gaza are high.

Biden has been vocal in his outrage over Israel killing seven aid workers

delivering food to starving Palestinians. Netanyahu says it was unintentional, but the founder of World Central Kitchen, Jose Andres, told Israel

12 that the attack was deliberate and targeted, and that the workers had cleared their route with

Israeli forces beforehand. Obviously, Israel has and had all the right to defend their people.

But defending your people is no killing everybody else or wrong.

I've been in Gaza myself.

I met and some of the people that die were

were my friend and I served with them.

Raffer is also likely to come up in the call as the US puts pressure on Israel not to send troops into the city

unless it can guarantee the more than 1 million civilians who are sheltering there will be protected.

But while Biden and Netanyahu appear to be clashing publicly,

US support for Israel doesn't actually appear to be wavering.

And the White House is still reportedly planning to sell the country 18 billion dollars worth of warplanes, the largest sales since October 7th.

As House Speaker Mike Johnson is weighing his options for a bill to give more funding to Ukraine,

the right wing of the Republican Party is keeping up its pressure against it.

Funding Ukraine is probably one of the most egregious things that he can do. That was US representative Marjorie Taylor Green talking to CNN yesterday, saying she won't back off her threat to oust Johnson if he does push for an aid package, even if it includes border security measures.
