World Central Kitchen founder, Chef Jose Andres, says Israeli strikes systematically targeted

the seven aid workers killed in Gaza earlier this week.

The charity is calling for a full independent investigation into the deaths and wants the

governments of the victims to join them in that demand. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin

Netanyahu says the attack was unintentional and a military official called it a quote

grave mistake.

The aid workers were delivering food to starving Palestinians and their killings add to the

more than 33,000 deaths the Palestinian Health Ministry has reported since October.

President Joe Biden has said he's outraged over the deaths, which could make his planned phone call with Netanyahu today extremely strained.

But while Biden has been vocal about his concern over Israel killing civilians in Gaza,

U.S. policy and support for the war hasn't actually shifted.

At the same time as the White House is demanding that Israel protects civilians

and warns a planned assault on Raffer could cause a humanitarian disaster,

it's also moving towards approving a sale of $18 billion worth

of warplanes to Israel.
