Later, Trump's announced that his administration is negotiating to reclaim Bagram Air Base from the Taliban because of its national security importance due to its location just an hour from China's nuclear weapons production sites. The Biden administration's Afghanistan withdrawal was chaotic, they abandoned the massive, strategically vital base, allowing China to occupy it.
