The professor here needs to be heard and needs to have her allegations look at.

But also this is extraordinarily unfair to Judge Cavanaugh.

This is an allegation that's 35 plus years old and now you're going to attempt to try

to deal with that in a very truncated period of time.

This is why people are reluctant to get in front of those committees and sit down for

a Senate confirmation.

You're not trying to become a Supreme Court justice.

It would be utterly flabbergasting among other descriptors because nothing legally can

happen from everything I understand.

But it could certainly affect your life, your career, etc.

You're standing in the community.

The Cavanaugh nomination, the late, late, late breaking accusation of sexual impropriety

in his teen years, well, not in his teen years, one drunk and incident when he was 17.

I barely thought it was worth discussing on Friday when he was an anonymous accuser.

Now the accusers come forward.
