Today is September 11th, 2024. It's been 23 years since the September 11th attacks happened back in 2001.

Something I've said before on past September 11th, and it will continue. As long as I'm behind the microphone for this show,

I'll be putting out this 9-11 episode every single year to honor those police, fire, medics, dispatchers, people helping out on the ground, as well as those people that were in the planes and in the buildings when all this went down.

You'll probably see the hashtags and pics on social media.

They're doing their part, and this is how I'm doing mine.

The phrase, I've seen it hundreds of times,

and I hope I continue to see it as long as I can.

I just got off work a little before 11 p.m. the normal time.

A few of us would tend to stand around in the parking lot chatting for a few when we were done with

work. It took time to wind down after shift in the roughly 45-minute drive home, so it was not

odd for me to still be up at 2 or 3 a.m.

on most nights.

I was woke up, which was early for me the next morning from a phone call.

It was my granddad.

Brandon, turn on the news.

We're under attack.

That was the morning of September 11th, 2001.
