I'm your host, retired NYPD, Sergeant Bill Cannon, a 27-year veteran of the NYPD.

A lot of news, a lot of sort of, I don't know if you want to call it hysteria yet,

but in New England, they've just discovered an eighth body has been recovered throughout three

different states. And there is a site on Facebook called New England S.K., standing for serial killer,

that has over 65,000 people as members of this site.

So the public is sort of jump, I guess, jumping the gun according to what the police have told us,

which actually is very little.

But the public and the press are maybe jumping the gun and are very concerned with the possibility

that this could be the work of a serial killer.

Now, what is known so far really is just a lot about the geographic area where eight bodies have been found.

According to Newsweek, a woman was found dead in Springfield, Massachusetts on Tuesday,

sparking another bout of social media concerned about an alleged New England serial killer.

Rumors of a serial killer stalking the Northeast began after seven sets of human remains

were found across the New England states of Connecticut,

Rhode Island, and Massachusetts between March and April. As of this publication,

the Springfield Woman's Cause of Death remains unknown, and authorities have not announced

any connection between the deaths.

Connecticut State Police told Fox News Digital there is also no known threat to the public at this time.

So, you know, obviously the police are concerned with this.

Despite a lack of known connection between the death serial killer concerns of sweeping across New England on social media

and the exact amount of the Facebook group is 65,867 members.
