Preparations underway. I'm Lee Silasera Fox News. The mayor of New Orleans

says tropical storm Francine could impact the city and she tells people to

get ready. New Orleans mayor Latoya Cantrell says the storm is expected to make landfall Wednesday evening as a hurricane advising residents and visitors to shelter in place and prepare for heavy rain, wind, and isolated tornadoes potentially.

Officials expecting four to six inches of rain, minor to moderate coastal flooding, and winds between 39 to 50 miles per hour through

Thursday.

We have crews working today, cleaning catch basins and drain pipe across the city.

Noting crews are preparing for debris removal and will be offering sandbags.

Texas terminals ahead of the storm and Chevron has begun evacuating all staff at two offshore

production platforms in the Gulf. The evacuation of Americans occurred much too late. That's
