Hey everybody, welcome to move the sticks with DJ Buck back together again here.

Buck's some some sad news here in the football world with the passing of Mike Leach, really

a legendary coach, someone who went to places where it was notoriously difficult to win

and did win in a big, big way.

You think about what he did at Texas Tech, Washington State, Mississippi State, not only

a winner as a coach but a very unique personality, a very innovative guy throughout his coaching

career.

Now when the news came that he had passed, you know, we definitely knew we wanted to do

something on the podcast and talk about it between us.

And then the more we thought about it, we thought, you know, we had great conversations

with him at a couple different pack 12 media days.

So we're going to use this podcast today, kind of honor coach Leach, we're going to play

back some of those interviews as well as kind of go through some of the statements and some

of things are being said about him.

But man, it was a really a gut punch here to learn of this sudden passing of Mike Leach.

Yeah, I really, really sad day to wake up to the news.

You knew he was in a difficult situation.

You knew he was hospitalized and people were saying the things didn't look great, but

you always hold holding out hope for miracle and that things would turn around.

And so when you get the news that he passes, the immediate thought is like, man, what a terrible

loss for his family, his football family and all those that he directly impacted.
