So people sometimes refer to someone as a rebel, and by that they often mean that he or she

goes against conventional wisdom and conventional ways.

But we need to remember that this world is itself in revolt against its maker and its redeemer,

and so let us strive to be the good kind of rebel, those who rebel against the world's rebellion.

Pastor Whedon is leading us in a study of the book of Proverbs, chapters 11 through 20.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit,

be with you all. Amen. Greetings, people, love by God. So, in our previous study, we began Proverbs 17, looking at its

first seven verses. We circled around to that insight on domestic tranquility, better to be poor

and at peace than able to serve up feast after feast and have a house filled with quarreling,

sniping, and hatred.
